End of Tenth Day
The bombing has stopped.
I slowly poke my head out the door and look at the torn up ground that resembles our parking lot. There is not a single customer out there nor shots fired or bombing in the distance. Just the smoke pillowing into the sky.
A few of my comrades join me as the cold wind carresses our faces. "Is it over?" asked Super Nerd.
"It's never over." Moxie says, scratching her head.
"We got a reprieve. Let's make the most of it. Who's for Lobster?" Kane laughs.
We all decide to celebreate the cease fire with a decent sea food dinner. Space Rat appears to be the happiest.
Me? I'm just glad I can put down my rifle for two days.
Enjoy your weekend, everybody.
